Draw simple shapes and save to file (pdf)

There are several such libraries.

Personally I would recommend reportlab for its highly versatile nature.

You can do this with cairo.

ctx.fill()

ctx.arc(width/2,height/2,512*0.25,0,math.pi*2)
ctx.fill()
ctx.show_page()
