Example 1: get git remote url

git config --get remote.origin.url

Example 2: git check upstream url

git remote show origin

Example 3: show remote git

# If you require full output and you are on a network that can reach the remote repo where the origin resides 
git remote show origin

Example 4: git add remote

$ git remote add origin https://github.com/user/repo.git
# Set a new remote

$ git remote -v
# Verify new remote
> origin  https://github.com/user/repo.git (fetch)
> origin  https://github.com/user/repo.git (push)

Example 5: see git origin

git remote -v

git remote add origin <repository url> # adds a repo to your project

git remote								# lists all the repos of your project
git config --get remote.origin.url		# prints the url of a repo
git push origin master					# updates the master branch of your repo
