Example 1: git reset change in one file

# undo local changes to specific file
git checkout -- file

Example 2: undo unstaged changes git

git checkout -- .

Example 3: git reset one file

git checkout HEAD -- my-file.txt

Example 4: reset certain file git

git checkout c5f567 -- file1/to/restore file2/to/restore

Example 5: git discard staged changes

git reset HEAD
git checkout .

Example 6: git abort changes

git stash save --keep-index --include-untracked
You don't need to include --include-untracked if you don't want to be thorough about it.

After that, you can drop that stash with a git stash drop command if you like.
