how load pre build dockre as base of my docker image code example
Example 1: how run dockerfile
# Use the official image as a parent image.
FROM node:current-slim
# Set the working directory.
WORKDIR /usr/src/app
# Copy the file from your host to your current location.
COPY package.json .
# Run the command inside your image filesystem.
RUN npm install
# Inform Docker that the container is listening on the specified port at runtime.
EXPOSE 8080
# Run the specified command within the container.
CMD [ "npm", "start" ]
# Copy the rest of your app's source code from your host to your image filesystem.
COPY . .
Example 2: docker url image
For those trying to create a Google Cloud instance using the "Deploy a container image to this VM instance." option then the correct url format would be
docker.io/:version
The suggestion above of registry.hub.docker.com/library/ did not work for me.
I finally found the solution here (in my case, i was trying to run docker.io/tensorflow/serving:latest)
