How to get a value of color attribute programmatically

I believe instead of this:

    TypedValue typedValue = new TypedValue();
    getTheme().resolveAttribute(R.attr.colorControlNormal, typedValue, true);
    int color = typedValue.data;

You should do this:

    TypedValue typedValue = new TypedValue();
    getTheme().resolveAttribute(R.attr.colorControlNormal, typedValue, true);
    int color = ContextCompat.getColor(this, typedValue.resourceId)
