How to use find command to find all files with extensions from list?

find /path/to -regex ".*\.\(jpg\|gif\|png\|jpeg\)" > log

find /path/to/  \( -iname '*.gif' -o -iname '*.jpg' \) -print0

will work. There might be a more elegant way.
