import DB through mysql console code example
Example 1: mysql import sql file
mysql -u username -p database_name < file.sql
Example 2: linux command line import mysql database
mysql -u username -p -h dbhost dbname < filename.sql
Example 3: import mysql command line without database
mysql -u username -p database_name < file.sql
Note-1: It is better to use the full path of the SQL file file.sql.
Note-2: Use -R and
They are not copied by default.
Note-3 You may have to create the (empty) database from mysql if it
doesn't exist already and the exported SQL don't
contain CREATE DATABASE (exported with
before you can import it.
Example 4: import DB through mysql console
mysql> use db_name;
mysql> source folder_path/file_name.sql;
Example 5: import DB through mysql console
mysql> use db_name;
mysql> source file_name.sql;
