Chrome stuck on 'resolving host'

just add 2 lines end of the file /etc/resolve.conf:

nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4

and then

sudo service network restart

and you can visit https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/.
