If you want to remove the default value constraint, you can do:

ALTER TABLE <table> ALTER COLUMN <column> DROP DEFAULT;

'SET' is forgotten

ALTER TABLE ONLY users ALTER COLUMN lang SET DEFAULT 'en_GB';
