git remove a pushed commit code example

Example 1: cancel a commit not pushed

git reset --soft HEAD~

Example 2: revert last push to server

git reset --hard HEAD@{1}
git push -f

Example 3: remove last commit from remote

git reset HEAD^ # remove commit locally
git push origin +HEAD # force-push the new HEAD commit

Example 4: delete a pushed commit

$git log --pretty=oneline --abbrev-commit
