Use of different diodes in a bridge rectifier

The two glass diodes are zener diodes.

They serve two purposes

• as one pair of a bridge rectifier

• as a 24V bridge input voltage clamp.

A couple of 1N4007s (the marking 'M7' is clearly visible on one of them) make the other pair.
