  let first = normalArray.shift()  // OK, gives the first argument
  let first = arguments.shift()    // ERROR (arguments is not a normal array)
}

// Now, you can easily gain access to a normal array using a rest parameter

  let normalArray = args
  let first = normalArray.shift() // OK, gives the first argument
}
