Example 1: install npm ubuntu

sudo apt update
sudo apt install nodejs
sudo apt install npm

Example 2: install nodejs on ubuntu

sudo apt-get install curl
curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_13.x | sudo -E bash -
sudo apt-get install nodejs

node -v    #to check if its installed
