loops python code example

Example 1: python loops

#x starts at 1 and goes up to 80 @ intervals of 2
for x in range(1, 80, 2):
  print(x)

Example 2: loops in python

#While Loop:
while ("condition that if true the loop continues"):
  #Do whatever you want here
else: #If the while loop reaches the end do the things inside here
  #Do whatever you want here

#For Loop:
for x in range("how many times you want to run"):
  #Do whatever you want here

Example 3: for in python

for i in range(1,10,2): #(initial,final but not included,gap)
  print(i);
  #output: 1,3,5,7,9

for i in range (1,4): # (initial, final but not included)
  print(i);
  #output: 1,2,3 note: 4 not included

for i in range (5):
  print (i);
  #output: 0,1,2,3,4 note: 5 not included

python = ["ml","ai","dl"];
for i in python:
  print(i);
  #output:  ml,ai,dl

for i in range(1,5):	#empty loop...if pass not used then it will return error
  pass;

Example 4: for in range loop python

#there are two possibilities for a for loop
#first one is with a range()
#range() just generates lists after the following pattern

print(range(4))
>>> [0,1,2,3]
print(range(1,4))
>>> [1,2,3]
print(range(2,10,2))
>>> [2,4,6,8]

#and what the for does then is that it lets a variable (in my example x) cycle trough the list given after in

for x in range(2,10,2):
  print(x)
>>> 2
>>> 4
>>> 6
>>> 8

#so the code in the loop gets executed for every value in the given list after in
#you can also use for ... in for custom lists
#example 1:

list1 = [1,2,50,2]

for x in list1:
  print(x)

>>> 1
>>> 2
>>> 50
>>> 2

#example 2

list2 = ["bananas", "apples", "pears"]

for x in list2:
  print(x)

>>> "bananas"
>>> "apples"
>>> "pears"

Example 5: for loop in python

for x in range(6):

	print(x)

Example 6: python for loop

words=['zero','one','two']
for operator, word in enumerate(words):
	print(word, operator)
