php push key value pair to array code example

Example 1: php array push with key

<?php
$a=array("a"=>"red","b"=>"green");
array_push($a,"blue","yellow");
print_r($a);
?>

Example 2: array_push php

// array_push ( array &$array [, mixed $... ] ) : int
// array_push() treats array as a stack, and pushes the passed variables onto the end of array. The length of array increases by the number of variables pushed. Has the same effect as:

<?php
$array[] = $var;
?>
// repeated for each passed value.
// Note: If you use array_push() to add one element to the array, it's better to use $array[] = because in that way there is no overhead of calling a function.

Example 3: php array push with key

// Error : "array_push() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given"
// Don't array_push($array,$arrayValueToPush);
// Set the array value.
$array["arrayKey"] = $arrayValue;
//----------------------------------------
$newArray = [];
foreach ($arrayItems as $key => $arrayItem) {
  $newArray[$key]["arrayItemKey1"] = $arrayItem["arrayItemKey1FromArrayItem"];
  $newArray[$key]["arrayItemKey2"] = $arrayItem["arrayItemKey2FromArrayItem"];
}

Example 4: php array push key value

<?php
$image[0] = $image[0].','.$filename;
?>
