Example 1: count similar values in list python

MyList = ["a", "b", "a", "c", "c", "a", "c"]

return my_dict = {i:MyList.count(i) for i in MyList}
# returns :
{'a': 3, 'c': 3, 'b': 1}
 # OR
from collections import Counter
return my_dict = dict(Counter(MyList))
# returns :   
{'a': 3, 'c': 3, 'b': 1}
# the both returns the same so it's up to you to choose the one you prefere ;)

Example 2: freq count in python

freq = {} 
    for item in my_list: 
        if (item in freq): 
            freq[item] += 1
        else: 
            freq[item] = 1

Example 3: count in python string

string.count(substring, start, end)
# Start and end is optional

Example 4: value count in python

col-name.value_count()

Example 5: string count substring occurences pytohn

string.count(substring, [start_index], [end_index])

Example 6: python count

Format: string.count(sub, start= 0,end=len(string))
string =  "Add Grepper Answer"
print(string.count('e')
>>> 3
