Example 1: how to remove remote origin from git repo

git remote remove origin

Example 2: delete branch from remote

// delete branch locally
git branch -d localBranchName

//delete local branch that is unmerged
git branch -D localBranchName

// delete branch remotely
git push origin --delete remoteBranchName

Example 3: git remove remote

$ git remote -v
# View current remotes
> origin  https://github.com/OWNER/REPOSITORY.git (fetch)
