copy table sql code example

Example 1: copy table oracle

CREATE TABLE New_Table_name AS SELECT * FROM Existing_table_Name;

Example 2: delete table sql

DROP TABLE table_name;

Example 3: copy table sql server

-- Use SELECT ... INTO:
SELECT * INTO my_table_1 FROM my_table;

Example 4: how to copy one table to other one in sql

Let’s assume that, we have our employee table.
We have to copy this data
into another table. For this purpose,
we can use the INSERT INTO SELECT
operator. Before we go ahead and do that,
we would have to create another
table that would have the same structure
as the given table.First create the second table with
the same table structure with copied one.Then use the syntax:
Let’s say employee_duplicate is New table
employee is First table that we want to copy it into new table

INSERT INTO employee_duplicate SELECT * FROM employee;

Example 5: into sql

#The SELECT INTO statement selects data from one table and inserts it into a different table.
#The SELECT INTO statement is most often used to create backup copies of tables.
syntax->SELECT *
INTO new_table_name [IN externaldatabase]
FROM old_tablename
///example///
SELECT *
INTO Persons_Backup
FROM Persons

Example 6: in query in sql

SELECT Id, FirstName, LastName, Country FROM Customer WHERE Country IN (SELECT Country FROM Supplier)
