Turning a string into a Uri in Android

Uri.parse(STRING);

String: an RFC 2396-compliant, encoded URI

Url must be canonicalized before using, like this:

Uri.parse(Uri.decode(STRING));

Uri myUri = Uri.parse("http://www.google.com");
