Remove accents from String
java.text.Normalizer
is there in Android (on latest versions anyway). You can use it.
EDIT For reference, here is how to use Normalizer
:
string = Normalizer.normalize(string, Normalizer.Form.NFD);
string = string.replaceAll("[^\\p{ASCII}]", "");
