Transforming "rel axis cs" to absolute coordinates?
I would recommend using the groupplots
library for arranging your plots, instead of a matrix
. That way, you don't have to repeat the options for each axis, and you can do things like move the ticklabels only to the bottom edge. It also eliminates the need for compiling twice (which you have to do when using remmeber picture
